Locked-In is a short visual novel about Jacqueline Brown, an executive who has an accident that leaves her paralyzed and blind with locked-in syndrome. Jacqueline struggles to remember what happened to her, and as she sifts through her memories and reflects on her life she comes to the realization that someone close to her is a murderer.

I played this game a long, long time ago. But I loved it, enough to remember it years later, and replay it!! And it holds up wonderfully well :D

The art is very expressive and bold. I love the monochrome look with splashes of color, and each character gets their own color! I had great fun reading the writing, and you got across the characters' personalities real well owo

I especially liked Jacqueline's mind room. The golden wallpaper was gorgeous. I want it :v

But anyways, I just had to swing by and tell you how much I loved the game!!!

Thanks for the replay! I recently replayed the game myself, to test the most recent build, and I had fun with it. I'm glad it still holds up for you too.

I was surprised when I realised it had gay women in it. Maybe the LGBT/lesbian tags could be added to the game's description? That way more people would find it.

It’s a good game! I loved the atmosphere, the story, characters, and the choice of music. I got all the endings. I assume Lucky is the Golden Ending, though. I enjoyed it and Boss the most.

Thanks for playing! A lot of people like Boss, myself included.

As for tagging, you are not the first player to mention this. Several of my games have LGBT characters but I never thought of them as being LGBT games per se, so I never used the tags.

That was a really nice cohesive visual novel. The imagery and sounds worked well together and the way the story unfolds is neat and clever. All the characters are distinct and interesting.

(glad I got the 'lucky' ending last though, given some of the others)

Thanks for the comment and playing the game, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Good afternoon! Forgive me for being so late, but we treacherously translated this novel into Russian. Sorry!
Locked-In RUS

I welcome translations of my games, thank you for doing that. I have added translation files to the download page. If you are willing to transfer your translation to those files I can add it to the official version of the game and list your team in the credits. Let me know if interested.

I tried to implement the translation into the game, but I got errors due to images and fonts

If you are able to add the Russian strings to the translation files and provide a link, I'll incorporate those files and handle any bugs/issues that arise. It's been a while since we added the last translation and it's hard for me to guess what the issue is without the files and a traceback.

Then I will contact you by mail when I have free time)

I don't know why I just found this now but I guess I really should look for more games often. Anyways, I love this game! The graphics, the animations, the characters (more specifically, Sasha and Jac). I really think they left a dent on me and I will always remember them. I will check out more of your games more often now :)

I really enjoyed this little game! It felt like you had a lot of fun making it, which I hope is true. I thought the different endings were really rewarding, and gave great insight into the different characters, and I liked how Jacqueline's character was so firmly from her point of view, everything she had done prior to the accident done with the conviction of someone who is very sure that she's right, even though her actions weren't necessarily ethical.

Thank you very much for sharing this game with us!

I loved this game from start to finish. The music, the art styles, the story, everything. I wasn't expecting to be thrust into the position I was at the end but I definitely chose right for myself. And what a concept, fighting your own mind to remember your own life and still having to come to terms with emotional issues. I also really enjoyed reading the dialogue, it was well written and the story flowed extremely well.

Overall a brilliant game, I enjoyed this immensely.

Please give the option to pay for your games. This is one of the most clever games of this kind I've ever played. You are an excellent writer and I was really hoping to be able to drop you a tip.

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm happy people are still discovering this one. I had tipping enabled for a while but I ended up removing the option about a year ago. It's a complex issue for me, but the short version is I find comments and recommendations from players more rewarding. I appreciate you reaching out to me about it, however.

I played this game a few years ago and it gave me an existential crisis, lmao. Much love for the subtle inclusion of an LGBT+ character. :) Overall great game!

This game's amazing, nicely written, interesting, and all... can't get all endings, though, which is kind of frustrating for me and not your fault. Keep it up! And a little side-note, this might not feel the same for everyone. The message "Your dedication is admirable" after getting most (five?) of the endings creeped me out so hard. It's scary.

Lol, nevermind, I just got mixed up in what I did and didn't do. I love thins game to death. It's beautiful. Thank you.

But your dedication is admirable.

Very admirable.

Thank you for playing!
